Packaging Now Symbolizes FAIR. Spirits’ Mission to “Think Human, Drink FAIR.”
NEW YORK (August 22, 2013) — FAIR. Spirits announces the release of a redesigned bottle and label for its flagship product, FAIR. Quinoa Vodka. The new bottle will be available in select stores and restaurants throughout the country as of today. If a label tells the tale of a brand, then FAIR. Quinoa Vodka’s new packaging speaks of artisan craft, purity of product, and a dedication to sustainability.
The new label is an evolution of FAIR.’s mission of sustainability and social responsibility. Designed in Paris by Piaton et Associés, the label embodies FAIR.’s vision to communicate global issues in relation to the world’s micro-ecosystems.
“The FAIR. brand emerges from a close relationship to the earth. The new label speaks to the craft of the product, our sustainable profile, and the production of FAIR. Spirits in small batches,” says Jack Bays, President of Bay Pac — the company responsible for production, sales, and marketing of the FAIR. brand and products in the U.S. and Canada. “The goal of the new label and packaging is to maintain the integrity of FAIR.’s prize-winning product while moving to a greener profile that reflects the brand’s dedication to sustainability.”
The new bottle and label greatly decrease FAIR.’s carbon footprint. Specifically, the new bottle reduces the glass weight by 25% (from 800 grams to 600 grams) and the material for the label has been changed from foil multi-component to straight paper.
FAIR. Quinoa Vodka is the world’s first certified fair trade vodka and the only spirit in the world distilled from quinoa, a crop indigenous to the Andean region in South America. The quinoa that FAIR. sources is Fair Trade Certified™ and grown by over 1200 small independent farmers from the Bolivian Altiplano, grouped under the ANAPQUI, the national association of Bolivian quinoa producers. Specifically, Fair Trade USA guarantees higher margins to the producers for the financing of local development programs. As a result, these farmers and their families are able to eat better, keep their children in school, improve health and housing, and invest in their futures through direct, equitable trade. THINK HUMAN. DRINK FAIR.™
FAIR. Spirits are currently distributed in the following states: Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming. Final negotiations are underway to expand distribution to Florida, Georgia, and Washington.
